GCARES Training Recommendations
No training is required to become a GCARES member, however, the following link will take you to the Ohio ARES page which explains the training required to advance to Level 2 or Level 3 ARES member.
http://arrl-ohio.org/SEC/training.html

For more information on the FEMA courses go to http://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/ .

GCARES also recommends Skywarn training.

For more information about Skywarn training go to  http://www.erh.noaa.gov/iln/spotterpage/spotter.htm

GCARES encourages members to complete Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.  An attempt is underway to offer a CERT  training class in Beavercreek. When plans are finalized we will announce it here.
