GCARES Weather page
Since Greene County has had several experiences with severe weather GCARES strongly recommends Skywarn training. For more information about Skywarn training go to  http://www.erh.noaa.gov/iln/spotterpage/spotter.htm
Part of the activity for Severe Weather Awareness Week is a tornado drill scheduled for 9:50 a.m. on March 20. The Greene County XWARN weather net is normally activated during the drill. All GCARES members who are available at the time, are asked to check in. It is important for us to know how many people are available during the work day and how well they can hit the repeater from their locations.
