The W6CDR-10 VARA FM Winlink node is back on-line and operational after a few months off the air. Originally, we had to move the system due to the sale of the tower location. After consolidating all the District 3 equipment on the west side of Dayton, there were issues with the radio not going into transmit. It turns out that the audio was too hot and the packet system automatically prevents the radio from going into transmit. Adjusting the audio levels in Windows and on the VARA TNC allowed the soundcard to trigger the radio into transmit when the PTT signal was received.
A reminder that the W6CDR-10 VARA FM system is on 145.030 MHz simplex. Thank you for your patience!
