GCARES COMEX Saturday, March 22

Digital Communications Exercise this Saturday

This exercise is targeted to those amateur radio operators who wish to
become more proficient at using digital modes to send messages. You can
decide what tasks you wish to perform.

The schedule is fairly open in that you can decide when to do many of
the activities.

KE8FMJ, KE8NHT, and N8ADO will be supporting the activities.

I ask that you let me know by email if you plan to participate and, if
possible, which tasks you would like to try.

Refer to the Google Drive Folder that I have set up for the exercise:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jO0n0dmizvN8kaK-Gjh8QsCNWa12bzxE?usp=drive_link

Look in the folder “Readme support docs for Comex” and check out “COMEX
Tasks.txt”  A tentative schedule is posted in the same folder.

Please email (n8ado.bob@gmail.com) or Winlink (N8ADO) me as soon as
possible and let me know what we should be ready to support.

This is meant to be a learning experience so do not be afraid to stretch
a little outside your comfort zone.

We will discuss the exercise at the in-person meeting on March 31.

In other news: Thanks to everyone who checked into the Statewide Tornado
Drill. 17 from Greene. Unfortunately, the EchoLink connection failed
before the exercise, so some were not able to check in. It has been
repaired. Nigel, W8IFF did a nice job as NCS for the Drill.

Finally, the Xenia Marathon could use a few more volunteers. Sunday,
April 6, 8 am starting gun. contact n8ado.bob@gmail.com.
