The Internet service at the KAS tower site has been restored thanks to Eric Bramini, KC8OPY, whose company provided a cellular Internet hotspot. The W8GCA-10 Winlink RMS node is back on-line and able to receive Winlink messages with the following updates:
- The new W8GCA-10 frequency is 145.010 MHz simplex. Thjis makes it compatible with other Winlink nodes in the area for digipeating purposes.
- The W8GCA-10 RMS node also acts as a digipeater for Winlink messages. If the Internet is down again at the site, you can send your messages to the KD3WCO-10 Winlink RMS node via W8GCA-10 using the RMS Express Digipeater mode for PAcket Winllink. There are also sites in Springfield and Cincinnati that can be reached.
Thank you for your patience while we worked around the Internet issues at the tower site.
